Status of PMAS and the future

PMAS Jeopardy!
A game where members of the PMAS Users' Group compete in their knowledge of the software and the PMAS team. Winners and runners up are rewarded with coupons towards the purchase of new PMAS software modules.

Break Out Sessions

Section 42
A detailed review of this module. It will include a review of the functions available, the setup requirements, and processing capabilities. Integration with the rest of PMAS will be discussed.

HUD
A detailed review of this module. It will include a review of the functions available, the setup requirements, and processing capabilities. Integration with the rest of PMAS will be discussed.

Rural Development
A detailed review of this module. It will include a review of the functions available, the setup requirements, and processing capabilities. Integration with the rest of PMAS will be discussed.

Report Package Manager
This module provides the capability to define reporting packages and how they are to be distributed to the owners and managers. It includes predefining report parameters, collating sequences in the package, and distribution methods, such as printed or emailed.

Executive Desktop
Developed in cooperation with a PMAS User, the Executive Desktop System (EDS) provides a customizable user interface into the PMAS data for executives and other departments that need access to lease and financial data, but aren't authorized to the full power of PMAS. Designed to be easy for the users, it places vital lease and financial data at the user's fingertips, with the proper security.

Budgeting and Rental Projections
As more companies start to develop budgets, this tool has come into increased usage, and the resultant need for some additional functionality. We will review the existing functions, and focus on the needs and desires of the users for enrichment and enhancement.

Abstracting
Residential - Dennis - MBA
Commercial - Craig - Stirling
Users of the two different facets of the PMAS abstracting tools will present this session. They will discuss how they are using these powerful tools to enrich their information databases for their users.

Crystal Reports
Peterson - Brent
MBA - Dennis
Dial - David
Users who are versed in the daily use of the CRW tools to revise, enhance or create reports based on the PMAS data will present this session. Discussions will include how they are responding to their users' needs for informational reporting.

Ticklers and TUMS
We will discuss the differences between these two different, yet similar functions. While both of them relate to handling date driven events, the functionally provided by each is substantially different. Discussions will cover current and future uses, and the projected changes in the file structures and programs.

Every one has missed a deadline, or forgotten a renewal date and paid the price. Use TUMS and when a reminder is missed, the SSI Bump system will automatically route the reminder to the next person on the list to help you avoid missing those critical dates. Think of it as an automatic assistant keeping you from forgetting important deadlines. Let TUMS send out the notices to the tenants and their lawyers on renewals.

Imaging and Document Archiving
We will review how imaging is integrated into the various components of PMAS, how images, documents and objects are captured, stored and managed by the system. We will discuss storage needs and alternatives for storage, including disk and optical storage choices.

Letter Writer and Archiving
Integrated letter and form creation, linked into the document archiving, can save your people lots of time. By eliminating the need to make and file copies of correspondence, only to lose it when you need it the most, the Letter Writer functions will earn their keep in your offices.

Work Orders and Preventive Maintenance Scheduling
MBA - Karen Pruett
The PMAS User will discuss how they have implemented and utilized the PMAS Work Order system in their operations.

Accounts Payable
We will quickly cover the basics of setting up and using Accounts Payable functions, focusing on those 'extra' features that we loved, but no one has had the time to implement. Functions like Invoice Approval Tracking, recurring payables, loan amortization, check formatting, bank recs, vendor contracts and insurance will be reviewed.

Accounts Receivable
We will quickly cover the basics, focusing on those areas that seem to need the most attention to use the power of PMAS, like setting up and using the transaction codes properly to get the desired results. Processing security deposits and refunds into A/P, the new way to get a quick payoff and entry, and other new functions and features will be reviewed and discussed.

General Ledger
Use of the Work with function to view financial statements, drill down into the accounts and then the detail transactions. If imaged, how to see the actual documents, and the invoice approval log that is created as the workflow process routes the payable around the organization for review and approval.

General Ledger Spreadsheet Reporting
Now that everyone has had some time to work with the new version of the Comparative Spreadsheet reporting module, we'll have a shirtsleeves session to review in detail what's available, and discuss what might be needed to handle your needs. Bring your work so we can talk about it!

PMAS Property Management for Property Managers
Bring some of your managers to this one! We'll review what's available now to meet their needs, and then discuss how we can make PMAS meet the needs of the Property Managers for information and reporting. All suggestions are welcome!

Internet Accessibility
Discussion will focus on the capabilities in PMAS to provide information to owners, investors and outside managers, using the power of PMAS and its security with the communications capabilities of the Internet.

User Group Planning and Discussions
The User Group Committee chairs an open forum to discuss questions about SSI procedures and suggestions that the Group would like to make to improve their interaction with SSI and SSI staff.

SSI Wrap-up and Finale
SSI will review the suggestions from the User Group and from the sessions during the conference. They will discuss their plans for the coming year, including new enhancements, changes to existing processes and procedures and other improvements and enhancements that will improve the product and their services to the users.

SSI PMAS Advanced Client Server Labs
SSI is providing hands on experience with the new PMAS ACS products in a lab environment, with support provided by experienced SSI staff. Come in, sit down, and get some 'driving' time with the new products.

The SSI ACS lab will be open daily during the Conference to allow attendees to spend some time working with the new programs. Go to the sessions that interest you, then spend some time
